Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a limit on service instance names?
Yes. Service instance names must be 20 characters or fewer after removing any non-alphanumeric characters. This limit exists because Kubernetes labels have a 63-character ceiling and the tenant prefix consumes a significant portion of that budget.
If you try to create an instance with a longer name through the AI assistant, you will receive an error message indicating the name is too long and asking you to choose a shorter name.
What if I find a service from a repository that I am the owner of?
That is great news! That means that there is a demand for your open source as a service. Now you can get a share of the revenue that your code as a service brings in.
We need to first verify that you are the owner of this repository and the way to that is to login (or signup) to Open Source Cloud. Connect your user with your GitHub account and then connect your GitHub organization that holds the code repository with our platform.
