Getting Started

Roundcube Webmail is a browser-based mail client that you can connect with any IMAP/SMTP compatible mail service including your own hosted service. Available as an open web service you can quickly get started. This guide describes how.

Prerequisites

  • If you have not already done so, sign up for an Eyevinn OSC account.
  • IMAP and SMTP access credentials for your mail service. If you want to use the mail service provided by OSC you upgrade to Professional plan and send an email to contact@support.osaas.io to enable it for you.

Step 1: Create a web mail instance

Navigate to the [Roundcube Webmail)(https://app.osaas.io/dashboard/service/roundcube-roundcubemail) open web service in the OSC web console and click on the "Create roundcubemail" button. Enter the following values:

  • Name: guide
  • ImapAddress: ssl://mail.osaas.io
  • ImapPort: 993
  • SmtpAddress: tis://mail.osaas.io
  • SmtpPort: 587

In this example we are using the mail service offered by OSC. Now press Create and wait for the instance status to become green.

Step 2: Login

When the status is green click on the instance card.

Login with the credentials for your email account.

Now you have a webmail instance connected with the mail service you configured and you can share the instance URL with others that have accounts on this mail service if you want to provide browser-based mail client for them.
