Sub Workspaces

Sub Workspaces is an enterprise feature that lets you create and manage isolated workspaces under your main account. Each sub workspace has its own token balance, plan, and service instances, which makes it suitable for managing separate environments, clients, or teams from a single ENTERPRISE account.

Prerequisites

  • An OSC account on the ENTERPRISE plan with invoice billing
  • Access to the OSC web console

Accessing Sub Workspaces

The Sub Workspaces entry appears in the dashboard sidebar when your account meets the plan requirements. Click it to open the Sub Workspaces page at /dashboard/managed-tenants.

If the sidebar entry is not visible, your account is not on an ENTERPRISE plan with invoice billing.

Managing Workspaces

Viewing Workspaces

The Workspaces tab lists all sub workspaces under your account. Each row shows the Workspace ID and allows you to switch into the workspace or delete it.

Creating a Sub Workspace

  1. Go to Sub Workspaces.
  2. Click Create sub workspace.
  3. Enter a Workspace ID. IDs must be lowercase letters and numbers only, with a maximum of 10 characters.
  4. Click Create to confirm.

The new workspace appears in the list once it is ready.

Switching to a Workspace

Click the switch icon on a workspace row to activate that workspace. The dashboard switches context to the selected sub workspace and navigates to /dashboard. From there you can manage its services, apps, and settings as you normally would.

To return to your main account, switch back from the workspace using the same mechanism.

Deleting a Workspace

Click the delete icon on a workspace row to remove it. Deletion is blocked if the workspace has running service instances. Stop all running instances first, then retry.

A confirmation modal appears before the delete proceeds. You must type the Workspace ID exactly to confirm.

Viewing Usage

The Usage tab shows token balance, plan, and a progress bar for each sub workspace. Use this tab to monitor consumption across all workspaces from one place.

Important Notes

Sub workspaces are provisioned on a FREE plan by default. Each workspace has an independent token balance and plan, separate from the main ENTERPRISE account. Services running in a sub workspace consume tokens from that workspace's own balance.

You cannot nest ENTERPRISE workspaces. Sub workspaces are created with a FREE or lower-tier plan.
