Getting Started
Sofie Rundown Editor is a web tool for creating and editing Sofie rundowns in a demo environment. It connects to a Sofie Core (release 53) instance that has the demo blueprints uploaded. You configure the Core connection, import demo Piece Types and a demo rundown, and sync that rundown into Sofie so you can work with it in the Sofie Core UI. Available as an open web service in Eyevinn Open Source Cloud.
Prerequisites
- If you have not already done so, sign up for an Eyevinn OSC account
- A running Sofie Core instance with the demo blueprints uploaded
Step 1: Find the internal host and port of Sofie Core
Open the Sofie Core instance details in the OSC web console and note its cluster-internal host and internal port. The public URL of Sofie Core is behind the OSC auth gate, so the editor cannot use it.
Step 2: Create the Rundown Editor instance
Navigate to the Sofie Automation Rundown Editor service and click "Create". Fill in:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Unique instance name (lowercase letters and digits, max 20 characters) |
| CoreHost | Cluster-internal host of the Sofie Core instance (optional) |
| CorePort | Internal port of the Sofie Core instance (optional) |
CoreHost and CorePort are only applied as the initial Core address the first time the instance starts, and only while the saved address is still the default (127.0.0.1 and 3000). An address you save on the editor's Settings page is kept.
Step 3: Open the editor
Open the instance URL from the instance card when the status is green. If you did not set CoreHost and CorePort, open the Settings page and enter the Core connection there. Then import the demo Piece Types and the demo rundown and sync the rundown into Sofie.
Using the CLI
osc create superflytv-sofie-automation-rundown-editor myeditor \
-o CoreHost="<internal-core-host>" \
-o CorePort="<internal-core-port>"
