Getting Started
Open Teleprompter is a simple, browser-based teleprompter for video production. It serves a web interface where you paste your script and control scroll speed, font size, and direction from any device on the same network. Available as an open web service in Eyevinn Open Source Cloud.
Prerequisites
Step 1: Create the teleprompter instance
Go to the Open Teleprompter service page and click Create teleprompter. Fill in:

| Name | Alphanumeric name for your instance (e.g. myprompt) |
Click Create and wait for the instance to turn green.
Step 2: Open the teleprompter
Click on the instance card and then Open to launch the teleprompter UI in your browser.
- Paste your script into the text area.
- Adjust font size and scroll speed using the on-screen controls.
- Press Start to begin scrolling.
The teleprompter is accessible from any device that can reach the instance URL — useful for controlling scroll speed from a phone while reading from a laptop.
